Red Cabbage with Caraway Seeds

Serves 4

1 small onion, chopped
1 head red cabbage (1 lb), sliced thin
2 T lemon juice
1/4 C water
1 tsp caraway seeds
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/3 C white wine

Sauté onion until soft. Add remaining ingredients except wine and cook, covered, for 20 minutes. Reduce heat, add wine, and cook uncovered for a few minutes, or until cabbage is tender and liquid is absorbed.
