Melba Raspberry Sauce

Serves 8

2 pkg frozen unsweetened raspberries
1/4 C sugar
1 T kirsch

Thaw berries and rub through a sieve to remove seeds. Mix in sugar and kirsch.


  • Artificial sweetener may be substituted for the sugar.
  • Fresh berries in season may be used.
  • Melba Sauce is best served immediately, but it may be chilled for a short while.
  • Serve over strawberries, raspberries, peaches, pears, or citrus.
  • Serve over plain cake, angel food cake, rice pudding, frozen low-fat yogurt, crêpes, or French toast.
