Chocolate Sorbet

Serves 4

2 C skim milk
1/3 C sugar
1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Mix all ingredients in a blender. Freeze according to preferred method.


  • Artificial sweetener to taste may be substituted for sugar.
  • Chocolate Mint Sorbet: Replace vanilla extract with peppermint extract.
  • Chocolate Amaretto Sorbet: Replace vanilla extract with almond extract; stir in sliced almonds before freezing.
  • Mocha Sorbet: Add powdered instant coffee to taste.
  • Black Forest Sorbet: Stir in pitted dark cherries before freezing.
  • Double Chocolate Chip Sorbet: Stir in grated chocolate or miniature chocolate chips before freezing.
