Microwave Potato Chips

Serves 6

5 unpeeled Russet potatoes, sliced as thinly as possible
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Place a single layer of potato slices on a shallow, microwave-safe dish lightly coated with cooking spray (prepare in several batches as necessary). Sprinkle garlic powder or other seasonings over potatoes. Cook, uncovered, on HIGH in a microwave oven for 6 to 7 minutes or until light brown, rotating dish once during cooking. Store cooled potato chips in an airtight container for 2 to 3 weeks.


  • Slice potatoes only in the amounts that can be cooked at one time.
  • Use purple potatoes.
