Flagstaff Granola

Serves 10

4 C rolled oats
1/4 C sesame seeds
1 C Grape-Nuts
3 C wheat germ
1/4 C sunflower seeds
1 T cinnamon
1/3 C honey
1 tsp sunflower oil
2 T water
3/4 C raisins
3/4 C chopped dates

Mix oats, sesame seeds, Grape-Nuts, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, and cinnamon. Mix honey, oil, and water; pour over the dry ingredients and stir well.

Spread mixture in an even layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 300° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until browned. Stir every 5 to 10 minutes while baking. Allow the granola to cool. Stir in the raisins and dates. Store in a tightly sealed container.

  • Dried apricots may be substituted for the dates.
