Chicken Oriental

Serves 4

1/4 C low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 C sugar
1/2 C water
1/2 C white wine
1 1b skinless chicken breast, cut in pieces
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 tsp ground ginger

Boil soy sauce, sugar, and water until sugar is dissolved; add wine. Set aside.

Sauté chicken, garlic, and ginger until slightly browned. Pour reserved sauce over chicken and cook over medium heat, covered, until tender. Turn chicken pieces occasionally during cooking. Remove chicken and boil sauce until it is syrupy. Return chicken to pan and stir to coat with glaze.


  • Serve with rice.
