Serves 8 (1/2 C each)

1-1/2 C small unsalted pretzels
1 C bite-sized shredded whole-wheat cereal biscuits
1 C bite-sized crispy rice squares (Chex)
3/4 C bite-sized crispy bran squares (Chex)
4 tsp margarine
1 T low-sodium soy sauce
2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
2 T grated Parmesan cheese

Toss pretzels and cereals together; set aside. Cook margarine, soy sauce, oregano, and pepper over medium heat until margarine melts, stirring frequently. Pour over dry ingredients; toss well. Add cheese and toss well. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 275° for 45 minutes or until crisp.


  • Add 2 drops of liquid pepper and 1 scant tsp chili pepper with the soy sauce.
