Garlic & Green Beans

Serves 4

1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 C celery, thinly sliced
1/4 C julienned red bell pepper
1 pkg (9 oz) frozen green beans, French cut
1 T slivered almonds, toasted

Sauté garlic, celery, and bell pepper until tender. Add beans; cook; covered, until beans are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts; serve hot.

Suggestion:

  • Remove cores and insides of 8 plum tomatoes; parboil the whole tomato shells.
  • Stuff with Garlic & Green Beans, steam lightly, and serve hot.
